In
Cath Evans (vocals and piano), we have a vocalist who can
stir the emotions with a soulful ballad or liven up the proceedings
with an Ella classic. Cath’s voice is one of the best
female voices we at Brave Music have ever heard, and we include
any famous name you care to mention. She makes each classic
song her own; a rare talent. Cath’s vocals, and the
great musicianship of her colleagues make her recordings a
permanent fixture on our iTune's ‘favourites’
play list. She is joined by the fabulous sax player Rico Garofalo.
Italian
born Rico moved to the North West in 1993 to study music.
In over 10 years of professional playing, he has performed
all over the UK and the world, including Italy, France, Spain,
Sweden, Denmark, Australia, New Zealand….He has played
as a soloist and within groups with artists such as The Commitments,
Alexander O’Neal, Jocelyn Brown and Phil Collins.
Rico
has provided soulful & jazzy music to thousands of people
& events over the last 12 years; be it the blues and jazz
tinged sounds of the tenor and baritone sax, the mellow sound
of the alto sax, or the sweet voice of the soprano sax.
With
a repertoire from Frank Sinatra to Ella Fitzgerald, Carole
King to Aretha Franklin, The Beatles to The Temptations, Eva
Cassidy to Norah Jones…
In addition to piano and vocals and sax, Cath and Rico work
with a close group of talented musicians and she can arrange
either a trio consisting of vocals/piano, saxophone and guitar,
or if your function is a livelier affair, bass guitar and
drums can be added offering you the flexibility and choice
for your entertainment needs.
If you have a song that is particularly special to you, this
act will happily play requests, which can be discussed in
advance in order to add that extra personal touch.
They can also provide tasteful background music in-between
sets.
